Relevant Functional Errata

Since Edison Format, some cards have received functional errata which fundamentally change the way they work. These are known as functional errata. Konami policy regarding cards with erratas (section IX. subsection G. of the policy document) state that "you are required to play all copies of your cards according to the most recent text". Therefore, the consequences of the language in these errata are essential to Edison Format play.

Armory Arm

[Ignition] Once per turn, you can equip this card to a monster OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. [Continuous] While equipped to a monster by this effect, that monster gains 1000 ATK. [Trigger] When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster’s ATK.

  • The "Colossal Fighter" + "Armory Arm" OTK works.
  • [Trigger] inflicts damage even if the destroyed monster leaves the Graveyard.

Black Garden

[Trigger] When a monster is Normal or Special Summoned, except by the effect of "Black Garden", halve its ATK and Special Summon 1 "Rose Token" (Plant-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 800/DEF 800) to its controller's opponent's side of the field, in Attack Position. [Ignition] You can destroy this card and all face-up Plant-Type monsters on the field and Special Summon 1 monster with ATK equal to the total ATK of those monsters from your Graveyard.

  • [Trigger] activates if a monster(s) is Special Summoned face-down.

Brain Control

Pay 800 LifePoints. Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Take control of it until the End Phase.

  • The restrictions found on modern prints do not apply.
  • If the target is flipped face-down before this card resolves, control of it is not changed.
  • If the target is flipped face-down later in the turn, control is still restored to its original owner during the End Phase.

Destiny End Dragoon

[Condition] A Fusion Summon of this monster can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. [Ignition] Once per turn, you can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK. If you activate this effect you cannot conduct your Battle Phase this turn. [Trigger] During your Standby Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard you can remove from play 1 "Destiny Hero" card from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card.

  • [Trigger] can be activated more than once per turn.

Elemental Hero Prisma

[Ignition] Once per turn, you can reveal 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck and send 1 of the Fusion Material Monsters listed on that card from your Deck to the Graveyard. Until the End Phase, this card’s name is treated as the sent monster’s name.

  • When [Ignition] resolves: reveal a Fusion Monster & send a listed Fusion Material to the Graveyard. This is not a cost.
  • If Prisma is not face-up, do not send a card to the Graveyard.

Fortune Lady Light

[Continuous] This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 200. [Trigger] During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). [Trigger] When this card is removed from the field by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your Deck.

  • The 2nd [Trigger] can be activated when this card leaves the field while face-down (reveal this card to your opponent).

Future Fusion

[Effect] Send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fusion Monster Card, and select that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. [Lingering] Special Summon a Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck with the same name as the selected Fusion Monster during your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) [Continuous] When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. [Continuous] When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

  • When this card resolves: send Fusion Material for [Effect].
  • If you can't Special Summon, you can't activate this card.

Light and Darkness Dragon

[Condition] This card cannot be Special Summoned. [Continuous] While this card is face-up on the field its Attribute is also treated as DARK. [Quick] When a Spell or Trap Card is activated, or the effect of an Effect Monster is activated, that activation is negated and this card loses 500 ATK and DEF. [Trigger] When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 monster in your Graveyard. Then destroy all cards you control, and Special Summon that monster.

  • [Trigger] resolves sequentially: destroy all cards you control (if any), also, after that, Special Summon the target.

Light End Dragon

[Trigger] When this monster battles, you can activate this card's effect at attack declaration. If you do, this card loses 500 ATK and DEF (permanently), and the monster it is battling loses 1500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase.

  • Prior to Problem-Solving Card Text, the "and" conjunction in [Trigger] functions as an "and if you do" conjunction.
  • If the opponent's monster leaves the field before this effect resolves, this card still loses 500 ATK and DEF.

[Ignition] Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Lightsworn" monster from your Graveyard. [Trigger] During each of your End Phases, send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard.

  • The Phase-Dependent Mandatory [Trigger] activates again (if its activation is negated by "Light and Darkness Dragon") until it is able to resolve (even if negated by "Skill Drain").
  • This applies to "Judgment Dragon" and all Lightsworns.

Machina Gearframe

[Trigger] When this card is Normal Summoned, you can add 1 "Machina" monster, except "Machina Gearframe", from your Deck to your hand. [Ignition] Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can equip this card to a Machine-Type monster you control as an Equip Card, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. ([Condition] A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. [Continuous] If the equipped monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead.)

  • [Condition] appears on all Union Monsters in Edison Format.

Remove from play 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard and equip this card to a monster your opponent controls. [Continuous] Gain control of the equipped monster. [Trigger] During your End Phase, give control of the equipped monster to your opponent. [Trigger] During your Standby Phase, gain control of the equipped monster.

  • There are 2 [Trigger] effects, both start a Chain.
  • If your opponent plays "Cold Wave" on their turn, during your Standby Phase the 2nd [Trigger] won't activate.

[Ignition] Both players can Normal Summon or Set monsters without Tributing, by paying 1000 Life Points x the number of monsters needed for the Tribute Summon.
  • [Ignition] uses your Normal Summon / Set for the turn. This is not an extra Normal Summon / Set.
  • Paying 1000 or 2000 Life Points is a cost.
  • The Normal Summon occurs when [Ignition] resolves, it does not occur "immediately after this effect resolves."
  • "Solemn Judgment" cannot negate this Normal Summon.
  • "Torrential Tribute" can respond after [Ignition] resolves.

  • The 1st [Continuous] effect only negates effects that target.
  • Effects that don't target are not negated (ex: "Rekindling", "Treeborn Frog", "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon").
  • Types / Attributes of Monsters in the Graveyards may be changed so long as the effect does not target.

[Condition] You can substitute this card for any 1 "Synchron" Tuner monster for a Synchro Summon.
