Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter

FLIP: (1A) You can destroy 1 card on the field. (1B) Send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard.

  • This effect targets.
  • This effect resolves sequentially:
    • first destroy the target (optional);
    • then, mill the top 3 cards of your Deck (mandatory).

BASIC STRATEGY: The Rules for Tokens

For additional information, consult the Yugipedia entry for Token Monsters HERE.
  • Tokens are always Normal Monsters.
  • Tokens CANNOT be flipped face-down.
  • Tokens cease to exist when removed from the field (no damage is dealt if "Caius the Shadow Monarch's" effect banishes a DARK Token).
  • Tokens are never treated as being 'sent to the Graveyard / Deck / hand / removed from play'.
  • Tokens can be Tributed and used to pay costs (unless otherwise specified).
  • Tokens CAN be treated as Equip Spell Cards by the effect of "Relinquished", but cannot be Summoned from the Spell / Trap Card Zone.
  • Tokens with "?"ATK/"?"DEF (ex: "Emissary of Darkness Token") affected "Shrink", which changes stats relative to an "original" value, will see their stat line become 0 ATK / 0 DEF [REF].
  • Tokens are considered owned by the player whose card / effect resulted in their Special Summon, except for "Rose Tokens" (associated with "Black Garden") which are treated as belonging to whichever player's Normal / Special Summon triggered the effect of "Black Garden".

BASIC STRATEGY: Fusions and their Substitutes

9/8/2021

With so many Fusion strategies in Edison Format, it is important to fully understand this game mechanic. For example, "Versago the Destroyer's" Unclassified Effect (which does not activate) applies while in the hand, on the field, and in the Graveyard - allowing it to be substituted for 1  specifically listed Fusion Material Monster when performing a Fusion Summon. However, this effect does not apply in the Deck or while banished, nor does it apply for a Special Summon (ex: "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon"). The Ignition Effects of the "Hex-Sealed Fusions" Tribute themselves (and the correct Fusion Material) as cost to Special Summon a Fusion Monster sharing the same Attributes (this is not a Fusion Summon). But there is still more to explored; lets study Conditions!

How the Colossal Fighter + Armory Arm OTK works

9/7/2021

Comments

Picture
  1. Equip Armory Arm to an opponent's monster that has at least 1900 ATK (more if there are any Warrior types in the Graveyard). It needs to be big enough to beat Colossal Fighter in battle.
  2. Attack Colossal Fighter into the monster equipped with Armory Arm.
  3. In Substep 7 - End of the Damage Step, both Colossal Fighter and Armory Arm's effects activate, inflicting damage to your opponent equal to Colossal Fighter's ATK and reviving your deceased Colossal Fighter from the GY.
  4. Repeat steps 2-4 until you win.
